Wasting Time is a semi-regular recurring feature here on That Didn’t Miss by Much where Jon and Garth blather on about their uneducated views regarding some hockey topic while they should be doing something more productive.
This time around, Jon considers putting money against the Flames hours before they play their best game of the season and kill the Blackhawks, Garth discusses why he doesn't want a grown ass man's name on his back, and the two joke about the relative merits of the WHL and AHL.
10:45 AM Jon: I really am tempted to put money on the Blackhawks. This feels like a shit-kicking waiting to happen. But I think it's too early in the season to start gambling against the Flames.
10:52 AM Garth: Haha. Don't discount the new player push. Tom Kostopolous is totally enough to beat the Blackhawks.
10:53 AM But yeah, I see what you mean. Chicago is just starting to get it together and Calgary is circling the drain.
10:54 AM Jon: Yeah. Circling the drain might not imply the correct amount velocity, though.
10:55 AM Garth: Clogging the drain?
10:56 AM Having the drain blow by them?
10:58 AM Jon: They're more like a condom blasting through a storm pipe during a 100-year flood.
